An Overview of Childhood Cancer: Part 2 of the Childhood Cancer Mini-Series

Less than 1% of all cancers are in children but it is the second most common cause of childhood mortality in the UK.

We can't treat this as pre-hospital clinicians, but it is important for us to understand how to recognise important signs amongst children's non-specific symptoms, so we can help the fight for early diagnosis, treatment and improved survival.

Here you can see how different types of cancer maybe more likely in different age-groups of children and the aims of treatment.
